So my Mom and Dad just stopped by for a little visit late this afternoon.
My Dad, who frequently starts a conversation with an observation about some late breaking current event, asked me if I had caught the morning news this morning. I said I had not and that I hadn't caught any headlines on the internet either. He proceeded to tell me that the Pope has the Bird Flu. Oh MY, I thought. Anxious to be enlightened on the events of the day which I had snoozed half away, I credulously began quizzing him for more detail.
(Had I forgotten who I was talking to?...Need I say more?!)
Yeah, they think he got it from the Cardinal. =)
That's my Dad! You just can't NOT love him!

The Thursday berry picking escapade is a go on our end. We are VERY excited. I'm working on Wednesday. Nana finally returned my call! Sheesh. It gives me the heebie-jeebies just to say it.

ha, I just found your blog, and saw this and remmebered a couple Elwinsims. First When I was staying at your place one summer me and your dad went to pick up someone's dog for some reason that I can't remember now, and when we got there the dog wasn't there. Elwin says, there's only one thing to say...Doggone!
Another my dad remembers...while climbimg Mt Monadnock many years ago a couple of Hippyish types are coming down the trail, and as they pass Elwin asks, "First time down?" ahaha

Honest to goodness I just thought of you earlier today before I saw your comment. Liane sent me this silly questionnaire and you were supposed to write the name of the person you missed the most and I almost jokingly wrote "The Fesh". No lie! How are you and the wife?
